The Arizona Republic’s Catherine Reagor published an article today on decreasing home prices in the Valley. She stated that at least one out of every three homes for sale across Metro Phoenix is empty. It is estimated that about 36%, or almost 20,000, homes out of the 55,000 homes for sale are vacant. Many of these homes are owned by both investors who speculated on the market and really need to sell as well as by lenders who foreclosed on the properties.
